With the embargo now up, and this ninja run of Tetris Marathon Mode up on the channel, it’s time to get hyped for Puyo Puyo Tetris.
Tetris’ Marathon Mode is a gameplay style where you play until you break 150 lines of tetraminos, trying to do so in both the fastest time as well as the highest amount of points. Making it to 150 is hard enough for an unseasoned player, and though I’m a Tetris veteran you might see I’m a little out of practice (but not that much out) by getting a look at the end of the video below. It’s worth watching the whole thing to see the speed progression though, ’cause it gets pretty damn crazy well before the end is in sight.

Puyo Puyo Tetris hits the Nintendo Switch today in North America and Friday in Europe. You can check out my demo gameplay here, but you should also be sure to watch for more gameplay from some of the other modes soon. 😉
